Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. After her kickboxing and boxing lessons, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd took advantage of this win and subsequently went on a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. She then returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia outclassed Aspen and prevailed over her with a an unanimous vote to remove an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd rebounded from her loss by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen has signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the first round, via a TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first bout as a Bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission at the end of the second round. Aspen's formidable wrestling ability was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she was able finish her third round by TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen dominated Hoy before putting her down after the second round with a TKO. Her final fight with the promotion, she defeated Sijara Ebanks with a unanimous win at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 in the fight against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina through a pound and pound victory in her second fight. She remained dominant and picked up a more impressive win in her next bout against Tonya Evinger. The fight was at UFC 229. Ladd finished Evinger in the opening round and got a performance of the night's bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. The match was Ladd's first big fight. Ladd's victory was a unanimous verdict, and also the Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie broke Ladd's streak of winning within 16 seconds. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a substitute fight. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
