Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn is an American film television and theatre actress. Thespian Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been working professionally for the over 27 years. Her first appearance on stage as a part of the off Broadway production called The Big Funk written by John Patrick Shanley, in the year 1990. She was then cast for her first role on television, The Perfect Tribute. Her career started when she starred as an actor in the movie Basic Instinct. The Firm was the film where she became the leading female for the first and only time. This was opposite Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman and others. Over the course of the 1990s Gwyneth worked alongside Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews for Relative Values. She appeared as Dr. Alex Blake on the popular international police procedural show Criminal Minds.

When she was a kid she took up golf, and at age 12, became the first woman in history to be qualified to compete in the US Women's Open. She did not be a winner, but she also failed to win the 2007 Aldila Junior Classic, which resulted in her being the second-youngest participant to be crowned the winner of this tournament. She was the smallest American Junior Golf Association player (AJGA) and also as being the youngest to win the Westfield Junior PGA Championship at the time.
